April Showers

When I let my ego win,

it is a double edged sword.
One side of the blade goes into you,
and the other directly back into me.

But when I kill my ego,
the weapon is cleaner.
When the ego dies,
I become a rain barrel
Collecting water from the heavens.

Yes, I fill myself up;
but I release it back to the earth when it is barren.

That is the difference.
When you pull out the ego’s blade,
Everything comes to life.
